Umstead State Park: Flowing Water

About three weeks ago North Carolina was hit really hard with several days of non-stop rain. Naturally, Michelle and I had decided to go on a camping trip to Umstead State Park the weekend the rain was supposed to arrive. Luckily, our trip was just before the serious storms hit, but we did have some rain mixed with some sun.

During one of our hikes we found a side trail that lead back to a little waterfall. This fall was particularly fun to visit as we discovered about three to four different snakes swimming in the pool at the bottom. Hope you enjoy the photos and I should be posting a more detailed recount of our adventure soon.
